OCCUPATIONAL ENGLISH TEST



                           Occupational English Test or OET is designed to assess the English proficiency of healthcare providers who wishes to work in English speaking environment. OET is applicable for around 12 professions including, dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy and more.  

OET evaluates four different skills of a candidate which includes :
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking
                         During listening skills candidates are required to demonstrate that they can follow and understand a range of health related spoken materials. Candidates are supposed to read and understand different types of health related texts. Writing tasks is to write a letter usually a referral letter or discharge letter or letter of advice or more. The speaking test is to role play.
